HELLO!

Hello!

Back as a seedling

Rooted foundations…

“Zoe's design ethos involves rigorous research, a desire to challenge pre-conceived design constructs and to build emotive narratives in each piece of work. A key characteristic of her designs is a dedication to using a breadth of hand skills combined with innovation and quality.”

Branching out…

In my prints, I use native plants to create intricate characters in the hope that they can show how important habitats are for these species to thrive. I’m heavily influenced by the infinite inventive forms and pattern within nature.

Nurturing the shoot…

Since graduating in printed textiles, I’ve carried on expanding my knowledge in a wide variety of hand-work skills including: drawing in multiple mediums on multiple surfaces for example watercolour and embroidery. I have a breadth of expertise in various silk screen and digital printing techniques such as repeats, placement and engineered prints. I relish in any opportunity to feed my flair for construction and traditional fabric manipulation techniques and my love for colour, which I continue to mix with my trusty gouaches for every collection.

"I distinctly remember the first item I ever sewed. With the loving help from my Gran, I made a 20cm square cushion for my teddies out of safely stored remnants from my Grandparents old shop. Thankfully, the stitch sizes have significantly shrunk since then, but the curiosity for all things craft, bestowed to me, has continued to grow."
